The Classic Car News is providing information about BARRETT-JACKSON that STARTED OFF Jan 14 and runs through the 22nd 2017 for the 46TH ANNUAL SCOTTSDALE AUCTION at the West World facility. West World is the Worlds’ largest Collector Car facility that I have seen, including the Auburn Indiana Auctions America Grounds. In Barrett Jackson’s own words, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions™ and I say it will take place at the “World’s Greatest Auction Facility.”
The Barrett Jackson Brings something for everyone; whether they are young newbies to old “Seasoned” collectors. I have said it before; they take their cars, motor homes, planes, helicopters, mass transit and lately Uber to get there. You can snuggle up and watch it on TV, or your laptop, iPad or Smart Phone. I can tell you there is so much more to see in person. It’s worth the trip so board the bus, plane or Uber, just come join me and the other 100,000 people that show up. The fares and fuel are downright reasonable.
Barrett Jackson is constantly improving their Events. The one thing they started and stayed with is the “No Reserve “format. The exception is the vehicles in the collection, which have a reserve on each of them.
The definition of reserve is: if you are a bidder you place the highest (winning) bid and you are bringing home the car or whatever else you bid on. If you are a seller of the car or whatever, you are going home with the bacon. The exception to the No Reserve format is a group of special cars known as the Saloon Collection. They still add to the auctions very successful sell through rate. Craig Jackson constantly make improvements to one of the best run events out there. The Barrett Jackson’s historic auction week attracts top collector car aficionados and collectors with some of the world’s most valuable collectible and coveted vehicles.
The Barrett Jackson Auction philosophy on the lower side is to provide newcomers to the hobby with more attainable affordable vehicles. Seasoned collectors can also buy vehicles and memorabilia above that, to add to their collections and Man or Women-caves, Tammy Allen is just one?
The Collector Car News, SEMA and ARMO all agree that we should bring a Kid To-A-Car-Show. We know that one of these kids might turn out to be a future newbies at the Barrett Jackson. And when you old guys think the young-ins with their music and pocket rockets don’t belong at our Cruse Nights, think again “Future Newbies” needed to buy or save our heritage.
The Collector Car Industry News posts a site map which will save those legs for the clutch Check out the photo we included along with the numbered areas we identify below. The facility will be the biggest you’ve ever seen. It appears that the footprint of the auction areas has grown tremendously thanks to the City of Scottsdale, AZ. The covered area dwarfs previous auctions. The city spent millions of dollars to accommodate the auction goers. I guarantee that the Barrett Jackson auction facility is something you’ve never seen at any other auction site in the world. Yes the 2014 Barrett Jackson auction will be the most spectacular Collector Car event you could attend. If size matters it is billed as the Greatest and we think it is the largest all-inclusive Car Lovers Event “Life Style”.
The Auction Area itself is housed in a newer structure with a similar feel to the old with a Sponsor Walk Through leading attendees directly to the bidders and attendee seating areas. Attendees can take in the inside and outside Vendors area from there. The special inside vehicle display will be in a proximity that seasoned attendees would recognize from previous years. Each year Barrett Jackson adds to the overall experience which is a reason that it is wonderful place to visit and experience the Barrett Jackson lifestyle. Fox Sports coverage will cover most of the auction but it is an event that young and old should attend.
