Join The IAAA

The auto-appraisers.com website is consumer oriented, thus all applications must be made through the IAAA office. To be considered for membership as Appraisers: the qualification procedure includes an application process that requires appraisers to be licensed and recognized. Appraisers who are recognized by Insurers, lenders and the courts and licensed by their state, country or province are acceptable applicants. Appropriate licenses include those issued to Appraisers, Dealers, Restoration Facilities and some others by regional, national, State and local governments.

Each new member is required to complete the IAAA Uniform Standards for Automotive Appraisal™ Procedure course and abide to the associations code of ethics. Their appraisal procedures and documents must conform to association USAAP™ standards. Each new member must participate in continuing training offered by the IAAA, both online and in regional meetings.

The IAAA offers an automotive apprentice program for qualified applicants who are not currently recognized as an automotive appraiser. Applicants are required to provide proof of a professional automotive work history. The associations Apprentice program has been qualified by government and state program administrators since 1996. One of the big three computerized appraisal companies that provide appraisals for insurance industry throughout the US used the IAAA program to train their top staff appraisers. The program is comprehensive all inclusive and reasonable. If you’re professional background and work history fits apply.
